Thanks for creating this blog and providing us such a neat summary of this important bill. This bill should be titled “PLANET’S CLIMATE SECURITY ACT” as it will benefit entire planet and not just America.

Sooner US Senate & Public approve of this, sooner we have the chance for Climate Change being under control of human beings.

All the fears of US citizens losing jobs etc due to this bill, are meaningless,as could be seen in IT-Information Technology Sectors, The US companies that have adopted Low Cost IT solutions from India are actually competing better within USA market and offer more jobs within USA.

We can only hope that better sense will prevail.

now if a Democrat could just getselected we can have the same exact corruption except no one will know about it because we will be dancing with glee, the whole world will love us, Democrats will be saving the world by talking about saving it, and the media won’t be paying their staff to dig through 815,000 lines of emails because they will be too busy covering Rose Garden ceremonies.

if there is 1 word somewhere in any EPA email that the Democrats can use to their political advantage they will grab it and send it to their friends at the NY Times and NBC News (and CNN, MSNBC, NPR, Newsweek, Time, Washington Post, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, KC Star… fingers tired) and a ‘scandal’ will be created.

totally agree with EPA response. but it still won’t matter. whether they give or not, the Dems and their media sympathizers will have a story.

Thou shall not listen to any other opinions. Thou shall not talk about any other options. Thou shall not conduct any science or any inquiry. The answer is known in advance—we will all die from rising waters unless we obey Democrats now. Pretty soon even voting for a Republican will brand one as being a disbeliever.

We badly need to extend tax credits for renewables, though this gets only half the job done. The other half is to take back the tax breaks given to Big Oil. Republicans in the Senate (and the president) just don’t want to do that. So how are we ever going to get a REAL shift to renewable energy?

And who is lobbying for the safety, security and quality of life for residents who live near Coles Hill? Who will support their very real and very legitimate concerns about the risks involved with uranium mining/milling? I’m not aware of any legislators asking to hear from those citizens, the ones who will be most affected by this decision?
